Robert and his father, Alvin, built Acme Builders Supply into one of the top door and hardware distributors, which made Acme a prime acquisition target. They sold Acme in 1999 to the Hardware Corporation of America. In August 2001, Robert opened Atlass Hardware Corporation, building this new company on the precepts of what made his past endeavors a success: quality, reliability, honesty, knowledge and service to his customers.
